Biantianzhuang is a famous Jiangsu and Zhejiang cuisine restaurant near Xingtian Palace, and it has also opened a convenience store in Sanmin, Nanjing! It is only open for office workers at noon and is almost sold out by 12:30, making it very popular. The bento is really good. It should be one of the top three bentos near Sanmin in Nanjing. The dishes are changed every week and the side dishes are also carefully prepared. Today I had Grandma's braised pork bento (120 yuan). The rice and vegetables are separated in a double-layered bento box. The side dishes include shrimp rolls, Hakka stir-fry, braised eggs, wild vegetables and pickled cabbage. The braised pork is well braised and the lean meat is a little harder. The fatty meat and skin are quite flavorful and delicious. The white rice is also above average, and it’s good even if it’s cold.
